The Best Female Entrepreneur Podcasts

Starting a social media marketing business from the ground up isn’t easy, but I’m so glad I took the leap. When I first started Soar Media Group Inc., I only had two clients. Flash forward to 2022 and Soar Media Group now works with some of the top brands in Canada. As a way to connect with others that felt the growth struggles I did, I started listening to Female Entrepreneur Podcasts. Podcasts have always made me feel like I’m engaging in a discussion, and listening to these stories helped me feel like there was an online network I could connect with.

I also started listening to podcasts to ease my 10K runs, and because Soar Media Group now offers podcasts as a service.

Did you know that around 33% of Canadian adults listen to podcasts? And that number is rising.

I find the trials and triumphs shared via female entrepreneur podcasts inspiring. Their passion and drive is truly infectious. Especially when I face those moments of self-doubt. Here are a few of the best female entrepreneur podcasts to listen to!

Startup Women Podcast

The Startup Women Podcast is a production of Startup Canada, Canada’s entrepreneurship organization. This podcast is hosted by Kayla Isabelle, CEO of Startup Canada. Episodes help female entrepreneurs in their entrepreneurial journey by connecting listeners to leading experts, entrepreneurs and organizations.

Ali Brown is the CEO of a women’s empowerment company We Lead, one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. She is also one of the world’s most recognized entrepreneur coaches. In this podcast, Ali doesn’t give you any life hacks or self-help tips with shortcuts to success. Instead, she gives you front row access to her own experiences and her guests’ experiences. They discuss how they started their business, created a movement or made a change in an industry.

The Great Canadian Woman Podcast

This popular podcast that ended in July 2020 was hosted by Sarah Swain, the founder of Life Intentionally. It brings out hidden Canadian female entrepreneurs across the country to share their insights, expertise and services to all her listeners. In my opinion, the podcast encourages women to break through their own self-doubt and stress that we face when we start our own businesses.

The Go-To: For Entrepreneurs in the Know

This is another one of my favourites. This podcast dives into entrepreneurs’ minds as we get to know the secrets of how they built their business, the resources they used, and the decisions they had to make while successfully conducting business. Hosting this podcast is Paulina Cameron, the CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurship, a Canadian charity that aims at developing the Canadian economy by nurturing one woman entrepreneur at a time.
